AARON NERVS

A New Chapter

There are things that are easier to understand after they have happened.

For a while, I have been working quietly. No announcements, no explanations, no need to put every thought into words while it is still taking shape.

Some ideas are better left alone for a while.

Music has been written. Other things have been started, abandoned, rebuilt, and left somewhere between finished and unfinished. There are pieces that have stayed with me longer than I expected them to. There are others I have deliberately kept away from anyone else.

Not everything was meant to be heard immediately.

Lately, I have found myself looking at the work differently. Less concerned with what it is supposed to be, and more interested in what it actually feels like. That distinction matters.

The direction has become clearer without becoming easier to explain.

There are things I could say now, but I would rather let them remain undisclosed.

What matters is that the work is moving.

There will be music.

There will be things attached to it that I have not spoken about before. Some familiar elements may remain. Others may disappear completely. I don't intend to explain every decision before it has had the chance to exist.

This isn't meant to be a formal announcement.

It is simply a record of where things stand.

Something has been building for longer than most people know.

Soon enough, it won't need an explanation.

Until then, there is nothing else to add.
