California Privacy Notice

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy for California residents and addresses rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), where applicable.

1. Our practices in brief

Aaron Nervs does not directly collect visitors’ personal information through a website account, registration, or first-party visitor database, and does not sell visitors’ personal information. The site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic and general activity. Google Analytics may process cookies, online identifiers, device/browser characteristics, and internet or other electronic network activity information.

Whether a particular activity qualifies as “collection,” “sale,” “sharing,” or “processing” under a privacy law can depend on technical details, contractual arrangements, and statutory definitions. This notice is intended to be transparent about third-party analytics rather than imply that no information is processed anywhere.

2. Categories of information

Through Google Analytics, information that may be processed can include identifiers such as cookie or online identifiers; internet or electronic network activity such as page views, referral pages, and interactions; and technical characteristics such as browser, device, language, and approximate geographic information. The precise fields depend on Analytics settings and Google’s processing. If you voluntarily email us, we receive your email address and message content.

3. Purposes

Analytics information is used to measure visitor counts, page views, traffic sources, and general website activity, and to understand and improve site performance. Email information is used to respond to your message and maintain necessary records.

4. Sale or sharing of personal information

Aaron Nervs does not sell personal information for monetary consideration and does not intentionally share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Google Analytics is used for audience measurement and is not used by Aaron Nervs to sell visitor data. Google, as a third-party service provider, may process information as described in its own documentation. If the site’s analytics settings or business practices change in a way that changes these statements, this notice should be updated and any legally required opt-out mechanism provided.

5. California privacy rights

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, California residents may have the right to:

6. How to make a request

To ask a question or submit a privacy request relating to information you have directly provided to Aaron Nervs, email support@aaronnervs.com with the subject “California Privacy Request.” Please describe the request and provide enough context for us to understand it. Do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary to process the request. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting, as permitted by law.

Because Google Analytics may process information directly as a third-party service, a request involving data held by Google may need to be directed to Google through its privacy tools. We cannot promise to retrieve or delete information that we do not possess or control. We will respond within the time required by applicable law where the law applies.

7. Cookies and opt-out choices

You can block or clear cookies in your browser and review Google’s privacy controls at Google’s Privacy Policy. The Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on may also be available. Browser-based controls may not apply to every device or browser.

The site does not currently offer a separate “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link because Aaron Nervs does not sell or intentionally share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising based on the practices described here. This statement must be reassessed if tracking tools, advertising, or data-sharing practices change.

8. Retention, third parties, and changes

Google controls certain retention and processing settings for Analytics data. Aaron Nervs does not control Google’s retention of data held by Google. External websites and services are governed by their own privacy notices. We may revise this notice as practices or legal requirements change.
